The Canyons has 3700 skiable acres, 14% beginner, 44% intermediate, 42% advanced. Deer Valley has 2026 skiable acres, 27% beginner, 41% intermediate, 32% advanced.
If you are a beginner, don't be scared by these percentages! My 6 year-old, Jackson, learned to ski by taking lessons at the wonderful kids program at The Canyons each winter vacation for the past three years. He already skis the greens with our family. If he can do it, you can, too! There is plenty of skiing for everyone, regardless of your ability level. For you hard-core skiiers, the back area of The Canyons and Park City rivals anything you've done at Jackson Hole. For the groomer-lovers, there are plenty of groomers at Deer Valley, home to the most delicious salad and lunch bar in the world.
