Skiable acres:4,000 This mountain has plenty of intermediate and advanced territory for everyone. Beginners can still enjoy a few green or easy blue runs. And if Canyons kicks you in the behind, don't worry. You can also take the free, quick shuttle to Park City and Deer Valley. It picks up right outside the hotel, and both resorts are only minutes from Canyons. How convenient! If you are bringing kids (or adult beginners), Canyons ski school is the best in Park City. This is our opinion based on personal experience. Park City has 3,300 skiable acres: 17% beginner, 51% intermediate, and 32% advanced runs. Park City has 3 terrain parks, as well. Deer Valley, rated the #1 destination in America for several years now, has 2,026 skiable acres: 27% beginner, 41% intermediate, and 32% advanced runs. Deer Valley does not allow snowboarding. |

| Canyons is the largest single ski and snowboard resort in Utah and one of the five largest in the U.S. "So large and varied is Canyons that every level of skier will find not just some terrain, but a bewildering amount of it." --Tony Chamberlin, Boston Globe Canyons Resort caters to folks who really love to ski and snowboard and can appreciate how well our diverse terrain holds and protects an average annual 355 inch bounty of snow. Whether you visit as a family, a group or a single, you'll find endless terrain for every style and ability. Take your pick: long and gentle; big and bowled; steep and steeper; or aspen and pine. With 9 peaks, covering 4,000 acres, with 19 lifts serving 182 trails, and 3,190 feet of vertical rise, there is something for everyone. When you want to try a different resort, Park City and Deer Valley with their legendary skiing are just minutes away. Want even more? Utah has 11 resorts within an hour drive of Salt Lake City International Airport, and there are seven within a 30-45 minute drive. In other states, you have to drive three hours to get to the slopes.
